Television
I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m a television addict. I can’t live without my television and more importantly, I need my DVR to keep the addiction going. With school and work, I can never keep up with the shows I’d like to watch. I can record it and watch it at my own convenience. I love it.
I watch a mix of things — I love true crime and history so I watch a lot of History Channel, International History and Discovery Times. I also love to watch serial shows like Law & Order (the original and SVU), Ugly Betty, Grey’s Anatomy and Bones. I added a few new shows to the DVR this season like Gossip Girl, Women’s Murder Club, Big Shots, Cashmere Mafia, and Reaper. I’m not sold on all of them (CM just started and I’m worried Big Shots will get canceled). I also love my older cancelled shows like Veronica Mars, The West Wing and Firefly.
Since I’ve been out of work, I ran out of things to watch so I found myself watching some of the daytime court television shows. I watch about five different onces now (I know, horrible!) but I might cut one or two of them out. My absolute favorites are The People’s Court, Judge Maria Lopez and Judge David Young. Those will stay on the DVR even if all the others get cut out.
I saved my favorite for last — I watch one soap opera and one only. I don’t have the time or energy to devote to any others. General Hospital has been a favorite in my family since the late 70s when Luke and Laura first started. My mother and my aunt have always watched it and I think I was probably sitting in the playpen watching some of the best moments of the eighties. I’ve watched GH for so long that it would feel weird to turn it off permanently though I’ve taken breaks. It’s almost like a family member these days. They do or say something that just depresses you, makes you angry, or whatever and you need to not speak with them for a while. But you never stop talking to them permanently and that’s kind of how I feel about my soap. It’s sad I know
Movies
I love movies. I love to go to the movies and have that experience, though with the rising prices and my constantly lowering income, it’s rough to do that all the time. I spend entire weekends watching my favorite DVDs and nothing’s better than curling up on a Saturday night with some popcorn and my brother’s fifty-inch television screen. I have a lot of favorite movies, but my top choices are The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Hairspray, Rent, Office Space and Super Troopers.

Web Design
I’ve been creating my own pages since I was thirteen. I don’t claim to be fabulous at it, but I suppose I’m passable. I won’t go into a lot of detail about this because I have a separate page for that.
E-Drama
Not my own and I rarely participate. But I freaking love to read the threads and check out other people who actually do participate. They’re hysterical and a great way to kill time while waiting for something to load or to go out. People are insane and they’re entertaining.

Genealogy
I have a blog devoted to my personal genealogy so I won’t go into a lot of detail but I spend a great deal of my free time organizing and researching. I also run a site for my local historical society as a direct effect of becoming interested in genealogy. It’s a lot of fun.
