Progress
Posted: January 3, 2008Well, I actually did everything I planned on doing. I finished my laundry, I picked up some food so that I wouldn’t be tempted to order out so much, I went to my job interview (I’m about 75% positive that I’m going to get a second interview), and I continued working on my genealogy blog. That project is being kind of cranky as it’s a lot of grunt work right now filling in all the information. I’m using an internal links plugin on that and it’s just a bit of extra code typing. Bit of a pain.
I started a new project on January 1 — part of my New Year’s Resolution to write more fan fiction. I decided to only concentrate on one story at a time and to write something every single day. I pulled out a NaNoWriMo Excel template to keep track of how much I wrote, how often and how far I have left to go. I’ve written three days straight and knocked out an addition 4,000 words for Daughters, which I’m thrilled about. I won’t post anything until February though because I want to send it to someone to look it over.
Tomorrow’s project is to finish cleaning out my job and organize the last corner or so. I have two huge bookcases that I tend to put things on (I throw jewelry on the edge, my deoderant, my allergy medicine, etc.) and I have another bookcase that I used to keep my DVDs on, but now it holds all the miscellaneous paper stuff that I have to weed through. I also need to update my personal files with the bills and whatnot that have come in over the last month and archive my 2007 stuff.
